Introductory call with a polite HR person. Then a 1.5hour live coding interview. First of all, live coding is way worse than sending a home-assignment either with time limit or not. Secondly, the live coding was completely out of the field of ML. You can test the candidates about general Python skills that are a little bit related with ML like lists, numpy arrays or pandas. But the test was about regular expressions. I solved it and they responded that I should care about a more optimal solution with regular expressions (which I saw them last time 5 years before and I am an ML engineer). Very bad pipeline, thank you for not proceeding to the next step.
