I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Board & Vellum (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2021
Interview
Pretty straightforward interview. Ultimately I decided it wasn’t the right fit for me. The only reason I’m rating this negatively is because it was clear they hadn’t actually reviewed my application. Felt more like they were trying to sell me the job.

Question 1
This was really odd but it was something about if you had to choose a state to remove from the country what state would you choose and why? It was part of a group interview and intended to be fun but felt awkward.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Board & Vellum (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2019
Interview
One of the best interview processes I've ever had. After the initial interview, I was introduced to the whole firm via a question and answer panel. It was a great way to learn about the firm and it was clear that employees there are happy and genuinely care about the company and inviting people who fit the firm culture/ethos.

Question 1
Why do you want to work for our firm (architecture) vs another visual design or graphic design focused company?
The first interview was with the Owner & an Associate about an hour long - mostly just discussed past work, walked through my portfolio, and talked about the firm and what I was looking for. Follow-up group interview with the entire firm (30 people) - lots of questions both serious and lighthearted.
