I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Boehringer Ingelheim in Mar 2011
Interview
The interview was thorough in terms of trying to assess reasons for wanting to leave current job, in addition to assessing experience. Communications with recruiter prior to interview left much to be desired - recruiter did not respond to calls or email messages. Of course when the interview was done - they wanted my comments and feedback.....sorry but this should have been a two-way street as I would have appreciated some comments and feedback from them BEFORE the interview!!!

Question 1
How difficult do you think it will be to make the transition from your industry to our industry? How will you go about learining about our industry?
Took 4 months, multiple rounds of phone/virtual/in person interviews with many different levels of employees. Exact next steps were never clear. Overall, very nice people and communicative HR department despite lack of transparency.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Boehringer Ingelheim (Ridgefield, CT)
Interview
Recruiter, then hiring manager, panels, Director and Executive Director. Thoughtful questions, quite long. Some interviewers need practice. Overall, just an experience that could remove some layers and unnecessary people from the process.
