We’re sorry to read you had a bad experience during our interview process. We aim to be very clear with our salary ranges, the hiring process, and expectations from our initial contact.
We try to gain as much insight as possible about candidates throughout our hiring process. We’re aware of the pitfalls of live coding exercises, and because of that, we do not use it as a definitive reason to disqualify a candidate.
As we explained at the beginning of the live coding exercise, we absolutely do not evaluate code syntax or even that the code runs smoothly in this exercise, all these since our goal is to get an idea of how the candidate approaches and solves a problem. We are very much aware that candidates can be nervous during this stage; hence, we try to be as understanding and supportive as possible.
We will strive to keep improving our process to make it as efficient as possible and continue to bring the best candidates into our company.
