I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bottomline (New York, NY) in Nov 2024
Interview
One of their talent acquisition leads reached out to me on LinkedIn to see if I was interested in a position, which I was. I had a total of 4 interviews. The interviews were good, but they took an extremely long time to schedule them. I would follow up week after week to get a status update, they either wouldn't respond or say they were still interviewing etc. My first interview was in the beginning of November. I had the other 2 interviews within a week of the first. After consistent follow up etc., I finally got the 4th and final interview scheduled (1 month after my 3rd interview). I heard nothing for 1 month after consistent checking in. Finally I got a hold of the recruiter. She said, "The team loved you, but turns out our priorities have shifted we are no longer hiring for the role and are hiring for someone more junior." So, 2 months of wasted time. You sought me out and after 2 months of interviews and follow up, they're no longer hiring for the role.
Very straightforward. Phones screening and then two on-site interviews. They’ll reach out within two weeks of your on-site interviews with an offer or notify you if they went with another candidate.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bottomline (Portsmouth, NH) in July 2023
Interview
Just had the initial phone screen with the internal recruiter it was an extremely generic borderline condescending interview. Wish I had checked Glassdoor prior to the interview, may have opted to pass on interviewing.

Question 1
What do you know about Bottomline? Tell me how you got to where you are in your career? As this is a very broad question I ask for specifically what the interviewer was most interested in and they essentially asked the same question. When I asked about the negative reviews on this site I was told that it was previous employee who were recently let go.
