      Engineering Manager Interview

      2 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at BrainChip (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2025

      Interview

4 calls with different management and “C-suite” stakeholders. Only the sales stakeholder was well-prepared for the meeting and I enjoyed that engagement. The remaining stakeholders were not well-informed of the market where Brainchip wants to be a competitor. They are obsessed with their IP but do not understand current market trends, the target market nor current technology and development trends. I found one team member to be quirky and confrontational and another to be incoherent to the topic of conversation. The team has no clear vision and is made up of all the wrong people. Any information outside the Brainchip website was videos of the “C-suite” trying to attract investors without a clear understanding of the technology or the market. I dropped out of the process after the fourth call and coincidentally did not hear back from Brainchip for a month, stating they had moved on with other candidates. I don’t mean to be critical but this company will be gone soon, which is too bad. The tech itself is cool but the existing technology landscape doesn’t need Brainchip.
