I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Brainmaven (Toronto, ON) in July 2021
Interview
started with a 2hr technical question, which was offline on my own time. An ML project mostly dealing with basic data processing and model training.
then was the HR chat, however, HR basically had 0 information about what the company is doing and what is the expected work there. Fairly basic HR questions.
HR told me they will schedule a 2hr pair programming session on Databases and Data structure. Although when I got into that call was mostly like an interrogation. Started with hi, so let's jump into questions. (no this is what we are doing, this is why we need to hire, no clear path for the interview session)
No technical question or programming problem. Sounded like there was a long list and they were going through that and asking did you do this? did you do that? however non of those were part of the qualification needed for the job in their ad. Still no information about the company. During that interview, I knew I for sure don't want to move forward with them based on the process they took in the interview.
After almost half an hour I have asked maybe give me some information about the company and got a brief overview from the interviewee. Personally for me was a waste of time the whole process.

Question 1
The 2hr offline technical included a long string comma-separated data. Asked for training a model on the data.
