I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bright Horizons Family Solutions in July 2016
Interview
I applied online and received a call back from the recruiter within a couple days. We had a 30 min phone interview that went very well. She set up follow up in-person interview at the school for the following Monday. The in-person interview was split into 2 parts: a sit-down, formal interview with the director and assistant director and an interactive interview in the classroom to see how I interacted with the students and another teacher and to see how I did in a classroom environment. It was about a 2 hour long interview. Everyone at the school was very pleasant and supportive and happy to have me there. I received a call the following Friday afternoon from the director offering me the position. Overall, the process was very simple and open.
It was an hour long, which included a tour of the place. The interview was with two people, the director and assistant director. They asked questions about experience and how you would navigate certain situations in the classroom.

Interview
They asked many early childhood education related questions and were very friendly. However, I wish that they would’ve just declined giving me an in-person interview and told me that I didn’t pass the interview instead of asking for my schedule, saying their schedule was full and that they’d call me back after checking in with the facility on what day would be best to get me in for an in-person interview, and then never calling me back. Feels very unprofessional.
