I Interviewed at BrowserStack for SDE backend Role. Process Took 5 weeks. 3 Rounds of Interview followed by an online assesment.First Round of Interview is machine coding round of 2.5 hours in which you have to code in front of interviewer. Question I got is to make a log watcher (mimic tail-f command). This will be you Enginneering Manager round . Then round 2 was with Director of enginnering.In this round they will go through your resume in depth , will ask architectural level questions . for example how to scale and partition a redis server in different scenarios, will ask you about your internship projects , your challenges. this will be a 45 min round . then last round will be a HR round. You should have a good web developement knowledge.

My recent interview experience with BrowserStack was disappointing. The process demanded an excessive amount of preparation and homework, particularly for the Framework design, automation task and SaaS presentation. Instead of evaluating delivery skills or customer engagement, the focus was heavily on detailed product information, which felt more like preparing for a client pitch than an interview. Additionally, the professionalism of the interview itself was lacking. The interviewer did not turn on their camera, which made the interaction impersonal. There were distracting background noises, including a child crying, and the meeting was ended abruptly without proper closure. Overall, the level of preparation expected seemed disproportionate for an interview, and the conduct during the session did not reflect the standards one would expect from a leading SaaS company.
