Interview
I was GHOSTED after a month's worth of time throughout the interview process.
The hiring manager who is also the founding engineer at the time (August 2021) should have some respect for candidates to let them know that they will not be moving forward. Now that I think about it, he also asked questions at the end of the interview that made you think you've landed the opportunity only to get your hopes up. (i.e. - Do you prefer working remotely or onsite because the offer will cover your WeWork monthly fees).
In hindsight, I dodged a bullet as the company's true culture and values were revealed.
The interview process is 3 rounds of interview. First round is initial screening.
Second round is a technical challenge to debug a React application. Last round is a panel interview with 4 different employees of the company from different roles. Panel interview is separated as 4 interviews, with each of the 4 interviews being 30 mins each. In total, six 30 minute interviews.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Builder.io (New York, NY) in July 2021
Interview
I had a preliminary interview with the tech manager, which was positive. The next step was a 1 hour code challenge with two developers. The next step was a 2.5 hour interview session comprised of three 30 min interviews with three different teams, including a second code challenge. After all of this, they ghosted me.
