I interviewed at Burke E Porter Machinery Company (Brugge, West Flanders)
Interview
The interview process involves numerous steps and can feel somewhat unstructured overall for a Backfill. Candidates should carefully assess whether this lengthy, multi-stage recruitment approach fits their expectations and preferred way of evaluating opportunities before moving forward.

Interview
Actually they don't know what they want from a candidate. they are not willing to do online interview. HR was too rude and they just don't want to explore a person
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Burke E Porter Machinery Company (Grand Rapids, MI) in June 2023
Interview
The interview process started with a short (15 minute) phone call with one of their recruiters. After that was a 40 minute interview with four of the lead engineers. The first phone call went very well, the recruiter seemed excited and interested in me. They were very responsive to my questions, and I felt good leaving the call. After talking with the engineers, I decided to stop pursuing the opportunity. They implied a company history of overworking their employees and having times where people are expected to work as long as it takes to get something done. Furthermore, the company uses a "Waterfall" approach to software development. This may not be an issue to others and it may make sense for the style of company they are, but it is not my preferred approach. Additionally, none of the engineers seemed very enthused to be at the interview, and weren't all that interested in me. For these primary reasons, I moved on with my job search.
