      Software Engineer Interview

      16 July 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Butterfly Network (San Francisco, CA) in July 2021

      Interview

I had an initial technical screen with Butterfly Networks. It was clear that the interviewer didn't bother to read my resume, because when I talked about my past jobs, he said that my experience didn't match with the role. I attempted to highlight projects that had some similarities with the role, but the interviewer wasn't buying it and told me so in a very condescending way. Overall, quite the unpleasant experience

      Software Engineer Interview

      24 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Butterfly Network

      Interview

Call with the recruiter, followed by a call with the manager. The entire process was a mess. I applied for a position, heard from the recruiter, had to re-apply, and then have gotten emails from the recruiter a number of times asking me to re apply. The hiring manager was rude and told me he didn't believe my experience was true before I even said anything. I wouldn't recommend working here or wasting your time interviewing here.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Butterfly Network (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2021

      Interview

Recruiter contacted me with pre-drafter message (you seem like a good fit etc. etc.) and pretended as if I contacted her. Asked for my resume and then came back asking for further detailed explanation of projects that I did recently because hiring manager was too busy to come on call with me. This was first time someone asked something of this sort from me in writing so I was surprised. Still spent time and sent it over to her. Two days later - Thanks for applying but we do not want to proceed at this time etc. etc.
