I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CARVANA (New York, NY) in June 2018
Interview
I submitted my application through Carvana's website, with a few hours I got an email to setup a phone interview.
The initial phone screening was simple but the person wasn't great at skiing in depth questions. (after reading the reviews on here, I would assume they need people fast because there's high turnover).
The second interview was in person. It consisted of a brief tour of the building and a sit down interview.
The interviewer asked alot of based on personality, how flexible you are and customer service.
I had an odd feeling about this company for two reasons. First they don't seem to have a clear hiring stragey, second the compensation is way below market value. I refuse to work for a company that doesn't value mine or others talents. They did mention the PTO, medicine benefits and reimbursement plans for college but none of these will pay for groceries, rent, or a car payment.
My advice to hiring managers, read the news! Unemployment is at record lows and the market is tight. If you want people to work for you, you need to offer a competitive compensation plans.

Interview
I found this position listed on the Carvana careers website and applied online. The next day I received an email from a recruiter asking me to give them a few times when I'd be available to do a phone interview. The request came right before a holiday weekend, so I did not get back to them until the following Monday. I had my phone interview that Tuesday. I'm not sure what the company is looking for in a candidate as I felt that I was well qualified for this position with many years of professional driving experience and customer service experience, serving a wide variety of customers. The day after my phone interview I received an email saying they had decided to move forward with other candidates. I know I could have done this job very well, yet I was not even given a chance to interview in person for it. Just look at Carvana's commercials and the images of people who work there on their website and you can see that they do not favor anyone over the age of 40 to work there.

The woman giving the interview was easy-going she sent me an email to schedule a time that will work for me we both agreed on a time and we had the interview.

Question 1
1) Why would you be a good fit for the customer advocate field operation position at Carvana?
2) What do you know about the company?
3) How did you deal with a challenge at work? & How did you resolve it?
Submitted my resume for the position but was declined, however the staff at Carvana were courteous enough to give me a very quick response even though it was a refusal.
