CBTax interview questions

Arrived at the interview which was arranged after a 15 min call with the hiring manager. Overall the interview itself lasted 20 mins with one of the managing directors after a 40 min wait. Standard questions about experience and skills. Director seemed disinterested with my answers and skills. Overall, I left the interview feeling pretty dejected.

Had a really bad experience with one of the recruiters. The first red flag was when they called me and there was silence on the other line and they then quickly hung up. I had to call back a few hours later (with no apology on their end) and had a pretty formal 15 minute interview that they didn’t ask if I was ready for. When I told them about my experience they sneered at some of my key achievements ( “the number of meetings booked per month was low” in their eyes). Asked about my dealbreakers in a company and I mentioned if a company doesn’t offer volunteering options and they said CBTax doesn’t offer this, and I just said yes that’s fine, that was just the first thing that came to mind, but they made it out to seem as if I couldn’t stick to my word or something like that ( they literally just sneered at me the whole interview). Overall just left the interview with a bad taste in my mouth, as if I should’ve just hung up and just got left with the feeling that they were just incredibly rude and smug and was a poor reflection of the company they were representing. After, they told me to set up a virtual meeting with them using calendly. On the interview day they texted me on IMessage, 50 minutes before the interview to push it 15 minutes later which seemed extremely unprofessional and was another red flag within the whole process. Standard interview and average questions but ended up being ghosted by them afterwards which honestly I’m not complaining about.
