I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CLIMB Theatre (Inver Grove Heights, MN) in May 2013
Interview
I was first asked to send in an audition which included two interpretations of a monologue. After that, I had a phone interview with the producer, which was more educational about what CLIMB does. This lasted about 30 minutes and they wanted to make it very clear what I would be in for. After that, I finished a personality quiz to see if I'd be a good fit with the culture of the company.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CLIMB Theatre (Inver Grove Heights, MN) in July 2014
Interview
I applied to the job through MN Playlist, and was contacted three days later about an interview the following day. The interview was mostly a more detailed job description, review of my resume, and tour of the building. I was asked a disconcertingly small number of questions. Rehearsal season had not yet started, so there were only a few workers there, but I was introduced to everyone in the course of my tour, and they were all friendly. The place had a cheerful, laid-back, but dedicated air.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviewer reeled off a string of names of artists they had worked with previously or would be working with this season, expecting that I would recognize most or all of them. I didn't, and she seemed disappointed, but unfazed.
