I interviewed for a mid-level role, and while the initial stages moved smoothly, the overall process revealed a major lack of internal alignment. After investing significant time preparing for and completing multiple interview rounds (took about 4 months), I reached the final stages only for the company to suddenly pull the plug at the 11th hour. It is incredibly frustrating to be strung along by a hiring team that clearly did not have their budget or internal headcount finalized before bringing candidates through a rigorous pipeline. The lack of respect for a candidate's time is a massive red flag. I would highly recommend clarifying if the role has definitive budget approval before agreeing to multiple rounds here
