I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CR England (Salt Lake City, UT) in June 2012
Interview
The interview was fast and to the point. Lots of details where asked for and everything has to be complete and turned in that is requested in order to be hired. They expect you to be an adult and to be proactive and to take care of your own business. They do not baby sit anyone!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Getting past accident reports. I was not asked for the accident report until after I was in Salt Lake City at their terminal so it took some detective work and some phone work to get it to them, but I got it.
Typical interviews, first with HR, then with Operations Managers to see if you meshed with their ideas for optimal employees, then finally with a supervisor to see if you were a fit for their management style
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CR England (Salt Lake City, UT) in Dec 2016
Interview
After submitting my resume I had a 10 minute phone interview. The recruiter was very direct and didn't want to waste each others time. I then had a panel interview with him and 2 "managers". It also included shadowing a current DM. The interview was straightforward and fairly simple. They were interested to make sure you could handle a stressful environment. I lived further away and they wanted to ensure I could make the commute. One manager didn't even want to consider me for that reason, but I appeased them.
