Interview
The interview was a multi-step process that is common for the STEM field. The first morning consisted of two rounds of panel interviews. Panel one was comprised of three scientists. The second group was picked from a group of peers. The second morning of interviews involved R&D managers, and closed with the direct report supervisor.

Phone interview followed by 1:1 interview with hiring manager, HR, upper level engineer or scientist and two peers. HR member will give company background and other hiring general information. Hiring manager will tell about your role and Engineer or scientist will test your skills regarding science while peers just tells about workplace and how it works day to day.

Met with several people over the course of a morning. Mostly fit-related questions. Interest in undergrad research experience. Particular emphasis on problem-solving. The interviewers were quite pleasant and laid back. One set of interviewers were peers, or other research associates/Sr. RAs. At least a couple PhD Scientists including the hiring manager also interviewed. HR was the last interviewer. Collegial atmosphere.
