I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Although it was a lengthy process, but overall good experience. The first two rounds of phone interviews were mostly about graph theory and algorithmic questions and regarding my PhD work. On-site interview process consisted of several rounds with questions on mathematical concepts (Boolean synthesis, mapping), data structures and basic c++ coding. Being a PhD, many of my questions were on my thesis and I had to give a presentation on my dissertation topic to the managers.
