Interview
The interview was conducted on Zoom with three team members. There was a short introduction from the team and then an overall explanation and the interview process. Everything was structured and explained well. After the six interview questions were finished I was given a chance to review to my answers prior the end of the interview process.

Because of Covid-19 the interview was done virtually via Microsoft Teams. Three people from the Mineral Resources Division interviewed me. This was the first round of interviews wit the CGS

Question 1
Briefly describe how your professional background, education, licenses, and certifications best qualify you for the Engineering Geologist position in the Mineral Resources Program.
Provide an example when you used your project management skills in leading an important project to completion. What was the project? How did you identify and organize tasks? What actions did you take? What was the outcome?
As an engineering geologist you will be required to prepare geologic maps, technical reports, and correspondence. Describe your experience preparing and editing these types of documents, including any GIS and field experience.
When working as part of a team, disagreements about direction and decisions are common. Describe a time you had to deal with technical conflicts or a disagreement in policy with a team member or supervisor. How did you approach the situation and what was the resolution?
Describe one area of expertise related to the engineering geologist position that you feel you need to improve on. How would you propose to address this need if you are hired for this position?

Interview
On phone scheduling for interview, no real screening. Short 20-30 minute interview of behavioral questions and some basic testing questions such as software development life cycle and try catch blocks.
