I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at California National Guard (Los Angeles, CA) in July 2018
Interview
You have to take the ASVAB. Once that's done, you then go to MEPS and have your paperworks processed. If everything is good to go, you do a swearing-in ceremony and then you wait for your ship date which would take a while.
