I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at CalypsoAI (Dublin, Dublin) in June 2025
Interview
After applying to the position, the hiring manager discussed and scheduled for an alignment call to go through expectations and overall interview process. Brief questions regarding expected salary range, background, and location suitability were asked. The manager then explained that the process involves a tech interview that tests familiarity with code and tech docs with 3 live coding sections, a group call problem-solving with the team OR a call with the manager, and lastly a culture call with other members from the company.
The alignment call provided a clear idea of how the interview process went, and made sure the candidate and the company are aligned in terms of expected salary, etc. The hiring manager gave an estimated date for when the technical interview was to take place, as the team needs to be consulted regarding availability.
After the call, the manager became unreachable, and months went by without correspondence despite attempts of follow-up contact. The vacant role was advertised on the website for months and was only taken down recently.

Interview
I just got passed the first interview with the hiring manager after I talked with the recruiter. They said it should have been another 2 or 3 interviews with the team and maybe a technical interview.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CalypsoAI (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2023
Interview
After 2 stages (video call interviews) I was asked to go into the office for an in person interview. It was nearly 2 hours long. I feel like I answered all the questions correctly and have more experience than what the job spec was asking (it stated 3 years in design but I have 9 years experience). They did ask some good questions and I did feel challenged but I would have liked to talk about my portfolio more as I didn’t get that much time to talk. I took an unpaid day off work to come in to meet them and the only feedback I got from the HR was that they were looking for someone with more ‘creative direction’ which I found odd as it’s what is in my whole portfolio. That was the only feedback I got and was very disappointed as I would have like something that was actually constructive. They clearly didn’t even look through my work and was a complete waste of time and would not go through that again. Did not get a good vibe and happy I didn’t get the job.
