The interview was your standard remote position interview format. I had a phone interview, a zoom call interview with the senior graphic designer and and another graphic designer and a final interview that was a mock project and presentation. These kinds of art tests seem to be becoming standard for the competitive field of graphic design so I didn't mind working on it. I presented it and got positive feedback from it so I ended the call feeling pretty good. I knew I didn't get it when I didn't hear anything the next day and received the rejection email on day two. I didn't mind though, the project taught me a lot along the way and I was very very fortunate to receive feedback. The hiring designer was incredibly kind and coached me in refining the project further to post in my portfolio. This company will continue to stay on my radar as a dream job because they really do care about not just their employees but also their potential hires.
