The interview process was pretty typical for this level of position (initial phone interview and an in person day long set of interviews with a presentation), with two exceptions - they called my references before scheduling an initial interview with me and after my in person interview asked me to take a strengths assessment.
Many rounds of the same sets of questions and presentations to different groups (department staff, faculty, deans, etc.); they contacted numerous references without first telling me they were going to do s; they even contacted one reference before they even asked me in for the first round of interviews - in the end they didn't even fill the position.

Simple process of phone then 2 face to face interview, ask specific questions on who you will report to as that changed quickly after being hired. Otherwise, the process was simple.
