      .NET Developer Interview

      23 May 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Richmond, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CapTech (Richmond, VA)

      Interview

Three step process. 1. Initial call with the HR - Usual HR questions. 2. Technical round with a hiring manager - Basic oops concepts like abstract class vs interface, what do u know about mvc, is string a value type or reference type 3. In person interview (only behavioral questions asked) - No technical questions asked. Behavioral questions like how do u handle stress, how did u handle a difficult manager, tell me about a time when u did not agree with your boss and how did you handle the situation 2 days after the onsite interview I was told that I had cleared the interview and they would make an offer as soon as they find a project for me. But they never had any projects. 6 weeks later, I was told that they do not have any projects and I will have to consider this position closed. I found it to be very unprofessional. I had the founder of the company on my LinkedIn and I even dropped him a message suggesting improvements in the hiring process but he never got back. He had also interviewed me when I went for the in person interview. I am glad I was not offered a job as it's tough to work with a company where people are unprofessional.
