I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capitol Credit Union (Austin, TX) in May 2012
Interview
When I was hired we had a professional HR person that managed hiring. She was really good with employees. The interview was formal and asked a series of questions. There was follow-up and an offer. That person along with others left when another senior supervisor quit. Now it is handled by a group of people that do not know what they are doing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation where you had to tell a customer or member you could not fix their issue and the steps in how you managed it.
Email, then phone call, then in person. Was pretty average interview, nothing special. Everyone I met was very professional and nice which is great. I wish I was able to meet more of the staff.

Interview
Briefly spoke with the HR representative and discussed some of the basic requirements. Then did a face to face interview with my manager and he didn't seem to understand how to interview an employee. Overall it was a standard interview process, no hidden surprises or anything.
