First round with recruiter (30 min phone call), second round with hiring manager (30 min video call). The call with the recruiter went very well, mostly get-to-know-you questions and a nice conversation overall (felt like talking to a friend). The next call with the hiring manager was a little off. He wasn't rude but seemed disinterested from the start. He asked a few general questions (tell me about yourself, what do you know about Caris) and a few more technical questions (which oncogenes do you know about, what do you do with biopsy samples in the lab). He mentioned that all MSL's on the team left recently and he was hiring the team from scratch; seemed a little suspicious but don't know any other details. Again, he seemed unenthusastic from the start and I wasn't too surprised to receive a generic rejection email a few days later.
