It was as straightforward as one could hope and expect. Their internal recruiter contacted me after I submitted an application. We arranged a time and place, I arrived, and interviewed with the person who was to be my supervisor. I had been a few minutes late, so missed the opportunity to speak with the HR director, and no arrangement was made otherwise. During the interview, it became apparent that the job and I wouldn't be a good fit for one another, and so while I soldiered through, I think it was obvious to the supervisor as well. I was emailed some time later (after I had already accepted another position) that they went with another candidate.
The office seemed pretty straightforward corporate - cube farm, but not too stifling and was actually somewhat open. Most of the staff was female, it seemed, and there were some (well-behaved) children in the lobby waiting for a photoshoot.
In summary: some mistakes on my part, but they did things fairly well, and it was sincerely not a bad thing...just not a good fit for either of us.
