Submitted my resume on Linkedin, got an email 2 weeks later regarding my application and scheduled a 30 minute phone call with the recruiter. I thought the conversation went amazing tbh, I was being super engaging and even asked the recruiter questions and we genuinely seemed to be getting along really well. Not just that but my resume and experiences matched up really well with the job decsription. At the end of the call, the recruiter said that they would get back to me by the next day(Friday) or Monday of the following week. She also said that I was a strong candidate and would probably move to the next round. After this, I followed up via email on Friday and also on Monday-didn't hear back. Decided to follow up again on Tuesday and the recruiter responded they are going forward with other candidates. Idk why it was super painful :( Anyway, glad they reached out and let me know. Wish I could go forward in the interview process and they could learn more about me and my analytical skills as I feel like the phone call probably didn't tell them enough about my fit for the role or my skills :(
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your experience! We’re sorry to hear that the outcome felt disappointing and painful - we know how much energy goes into the interview process and we appreciate the thoughtfulness and enthusiasm you brought to the conversation.
While we’re not able to move forward with every candidate, these decisions are never easy. We also hear your feedback on communication and will continue working to ensure every candidate feels informed throughout the process.
Thanks again for your interest in Cartesian. We wish you all the best!
