I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Casino Rama (Orillia, ON) in May 2016
Interview
The interview a group interview. 6 applicants were being assessed by 2 Managers and an HR "partner". The HR presenter gave some information about Casino Rama, the benefits and wages.
We were required to provide information about ourselves and our experience and went on to perform 2 group activities and a math quiz.
They asked us to answer 5 fairly difficult addition questions. We were only allowed to look at the question and had to write down the answer without using a calculator or paper to help. We were given only 25 seconds for each answer.
Groups of 3 applicants were given several chips and monopoly money and had to count the chips and calculate the payout amount in cash. While we were trying to count one of the managers would pepper us with questions and demand that we hurry up, as a simulation of what a customer would do.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Casino Rama (Barrie, ON) in Mar 2014
Interview
Asked questions that involve knowledge of Smart Serve and your knowledge of gambling.
They also asked about what kind of situations were you've gone above and beyond the call of duty.

You walk in where they direct you to, and meet up with someone from human resources. The person from human resources assists in the interview with the department manager. You go into a room and they sit you down and review your resume, just like any other interview. They ask appropriate questions pertaining to the position youre applying to, and they keep it short and simple. If you are lucky like me, you will get offered the job on the spot.
If hired, they have a 2 day orientation which is mandated by the casino, that every single empoyee has to take (its just health and safety, ect..)
