Overall, things started out great. I got an interview request a few days after applying online, with several time slots to pick from. I selected one for early the following week, and they were quick to reply to any questions. The interview was pretty standard and most of the questions were cookie-cutter. At the end I expressed my interest, asked about the hiring timeline, and was told about 2 weeks. I sent the usual "thank you's" immediately following. After receiving no word, I followed-up after their deadline to see where they were in the hiring process, and then again a week and a half later. I was completely ghosted. A simple, "thank you, but we've gone in another direction," would have been professional. It was definitely disappointing given the enthusiasm in which I was initially approached, and especially disappointing for an organization that totes it's values of promoting dignity and respect.
