I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cato (Radcliff, KY) in June 2013
Interview
Printed out the application from online, filled it out, brought it back to the store manager. She said she'd take a look at it, and possibly call for an interview tomorrow. She did, and when I went to the interview she sat and talked with me just to explain what the job entails and the background operations of the store, asked if it's something I'd be interested in. She asked some extremely expected questions that were easy to answer. Once she finished them (they were on a piece of paper) I had to sign a background contigency form and I think something else. (This was 2 years ago, give me a break people!) She told me to come in the following Monday for the sales floor part of the interview. I called Monday morning to verify the time, and she told me not to bother coming in, she's just going to wait for the background check and then I can get hired on.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Cato (Jacksonville, TX) in June 2019
Interview
Was very easy going and asked basic questions. You get a tour of the store and then you get to pick out a couple of outfits, as a test, to see how your taste of matching customers’ clothing matches certain themes the manager provides.
