I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cedar in Aug 2021
Interview
Cedar's process was the fastest of the loops I did, which I appreciated. From a phone screen through to onsite all the way to offer was just one week. They did expedite things for me as I had other offers on the table, but still worthy of kudos to get through everything as quickly as they did.
The loop was probably the most practical of the onsites I did. You can tell a decent amount about companies based on what they ask you and I saw plenty of very reasonable questions you'd expect an EM who is technical to be able to solve. It's the sort of loop you can do without too much prep so long as you are actively doing the job of EM (no leetcode or system design gotchas).
I really enjoyed everyone I met, too. They were very generous with their time for questions and were super friendly.
There are a few areas that I think could've been a little smoother, but I passed that feedback along to the recruiter and will follow up personally on it (since I accepted my offer).
