Had a call directly from the companies own internal people/talent person to talk through the job role. Sounded like a good match and appeared to go well as I was then invited to an on-site short tour of their office/facilities followed by a face to face interview with two people.
I have been contracting for some time now and this was a permanent role. I didn't see an issue with this as my experience and what the job/company do was (in my opinion) a really good match. As we went through the interview I got a sense that one half of the interview panel thought "contractor to perm" was somehow a problem.
Anyway, we got through the interview - probably not my best performance - and I was told it might be a couple of weeks until I hear back.
That was 8 weeks ago. I get that I might not be the right person for the job but no one having the courtesy to call back and say so feels a bit rude.
