I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Centene (Saint Louis, MO) in Apr 2021
Interview
The interview process lasted 3 rounds and was relatively straightforward. Not many behavioral questions, but they wanted to know whether or not I was able to do the job. Overall, great experience and it lasted a week.
Applied-1st round HR screen, 3 weeks later interviewed virtually, 2 weeks later 2nd interview, 2 weeks later 3rd interview. 2 weeks later received the canned email they went with another candidate. Total process took over 8 weeks with absolutely no interaction or response from HR. Interview process was thankfully informal but unnecessarily long for an Analyst role. Mostly situational questions. HR ghosted every email throughout the process even when they went with another candidate. Not a good look for Centene. Feedback along the way is very important to candidates.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Centene in July 2025
Interview
Initial first round was a screen recording, with like 5 questions. The second round was a panel interview, which I knew halfway through that I was not moving forward. One of the panelists seemed disinterested in being there, plus one comment they made threw me off and at that point I knew it was not what I wanted.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Centene (Kansas City, MO) in Dec 2022
Interview
There were four interviews: 1. Recruiter, 2. HR, 3. VP of Analytics, 4. Sr. Dir of Analytics. The first two were easy and were more focused on general knowledge, availability, and salary expectations. The VP wanted to discuss what to expect in the position. The Sr. Director (hiring manager) discussed more advanced topics and technical details about Analytics. There was no technical interview.
