      Marketing Coordinator Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Challenge Success

      Interview

I got an interview about 2-3 weeks after I submitted my application. The interview itself was frustrating. I was asked to walk through my entire resume, which is tedious, since it should have been reviewed beforehand. It was clear my interviewer was not prepared, as she did not ask me specific questions about my experience, or she asked if I had certain skills that I clearly outlined in my resume. After the resume walkthrough, she began asking a laundry list of yes/no questions on whether I have experience with certain marketing sites/applications. Sure, it’s good to know most of the sites or applications they’re using, but when my interviewer asked me about a blog site, to which I responded “I haven’t really used it, but can learn how to fairly quickly,” her reaction communicated that I said the wrong answer. As if learning how to use a blog site was impossible to do. She was not rude during our conversation, she was nice, but unprepared. Ask more thoughtful questions to get better answers.
