I applied online. I interviewed at Chamberlain University
Interview
My experience with the full-time faculty interview process was comprehensive, collaborative, and reflective of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and student-centered learning. It began with an initial screening call from a recruiter, during which we discussed my clinical background, teaching philosophy, and interest in nursing education. This was followed by a panel interview with faculty and leadership, where I was asked to share my approach to engaging diverse learners, integrating clinical examples into didactic content, and supporting student success in a high-stakes environment. One of the most meaningful parts of the process was the teaching demonstration, which allowed me to present a brief lesson using active learning strategies and to interact with faculty as if they were students. I appreciated the opportunity to discuss curriculum alignment, faculty expectations, and how my clinical experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner could enrich both classroom and clinical instruction. The interview process affirmed my passion for education and deepened my interest in joining a team that values innovation, mentorship, and holistic student development.
