      Executive Recruitment Consultant Interview

      10 July 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Chapman Black (London, England) in July 2015

      Interview

I was contacted by phonecall and asked a lot a questions based on my previous workplace, attributes, skills, lifestyle etc this conversation took about 40 minutes (where I was told the team leader had seen my CV and was thoughly impressed and excited to meet me regarding my previous sales and customer relations experience and feedback). I was invited to an Interview in London with 7 other candidates (half of which were late to the meeting). When I arrived early I signed in but was told to go and wait somewhere else out of the building. During the process we were shown around and given very little detail of what the company actually does or who they recruit for (I knew most of it due to research on the company beforehand but it would have been nice to hear from one of the managers). The interview(s) I thought were going to be at least a couple of hours to get in depth information about the candidates but ended up being a very measly 40 minutes (to interview 8 of us), half of which was being asked the same questions as on the phone. During being shown around the building, having previous sales and customer relations experience I was keen to know more about the company and asked as many questions as I could (Note : i was the only one asking questions out of the 8 of us and also was the only one who could answer questions on the company when asked in the group) but this obviously was to no avail. I personally if had this opportunity again would not take it solely due to the point that it was rushed and felt like they didnt care about the candidates they were interviewing.

Firstly sorry for the late reply! I have just got to grips with Glassdoor and will now reply to all reviews. Sorry you didn't have a great experience, usually a Director speaks to every group who comes in so I am surprised this was missed, also we have now stopped doing the assessments and we are concentrating on 1 2 1 interviews, the assessment centers were necessary to ramp up our activity at the time. I agree that they are a bit rushed, however we have hired a number of superstars as a result. Best of luck with your future career. Richard Blackburn Co-Founder
