I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Check Point Software Technologies (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2023
Interview
I was approached by a recruiter for a position. While I've got years of experience in the same role at a different company, it is in a totally different industry and that I do not fit the job requirements. I brought this up before the phone screening and was told that this was totally okay, no problem, they'd still love to pursue. I had the phone screening, followed by a full first-round interview, and brought up this point at both times. I was still told that this was totally fine. Next step was a technical quiz that took 75 minutes, with instructions to complete by a certain date. The quiz had heaps of grammar and spelling issues. After spending time on the quiz, I hear nothing back from the recruiter because she went on vacation for a week. So I sit idly by for a week, and then receive an auto-generated email from the company saying that I don't meet the requirements for the job -- the exact same thing that I told them for several weeks! Total waste of my time and theirs.
