I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chemical Guys (Torrance, CA) in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview process was smooth and well-structured. It took 22 days from my initial application to receiving an offer. I heard there were over 2,000 applicants for the role, so the competition was definitely tough. The process started with a phone screen with HR/Recruiting, followed by five interviews over the course of a few weeks. I met with the Director of FP&A, EVP of Direct Channels, VP of Retail, BI Developer, and Operations Manager. Every interviewer was intentional with their questions—there was no fluff or generic conversation. What stood out to me was how serious Chemical Guys is about hiring the right people. I wish more companies took the process this seriously. I felt welcomed at every step, but more importantly, I left each interview with a clear understanding of expectations for the role and how I could contribute. Overall, it was a great experience, and I appreciated the level of professionalism and clarity throughout the process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked me about my technical background, as well as a lot of scenario based questions.
I was contacted by recruiter. First interview was phone screen. Recruiter asked me questions. but didn't understand the position trying to be filled. Asked for status a few days later. Ghosted.
I applied and was reached out via LinkedIn, and was provided a calendly link to schedule a call. It was a terrible experience. The recruiter/ HR Generalist never called me, nor did they email to say the call needs to reschedule/can no longer make the time. I am beyond disappointed because i had to take time off for the scheduled phone interview. the recruiter didn’t have enough common courtesy or respect to let me know they can no longer make the call. I sent an email, and of course they did not reply back. Terrible, terrible experience.
