I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Chipotle in Aug 2013
Interview
I applied online and two hours after applying I was asked to come in an interview a couple days later. It was a group interview with 6 others. They asked us to describe ourselves to them and I made a very creative and exciting way to do so while adding in Chipotle's 13 values. Everyone was very quiet. They asked trivia questions about the company and I answered the most out of the group. After the group interview, we toured the store and after that we were sat down for individual interviews. Some interviews were longer than others and mine was very short. They asked 5 questions about my past employers and they really didn't ask why I wanted to work for them. After almost 2 hours, I was finished with their interview process.
A couple hours later, they sent me an email informing me that I was not chosen for a position there. I'm not quite sure what they are looking for at Chipotle since from my understanding from the interview the GM gets to shape the store to their liking so it seems to be inconsistent.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"What did you least like about your last supervisor?"
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
