I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle (Middletown, NY) in June 2014
Interview
I applied on the Chipotle website and received an email to come for an interview about 3 days later. The interview was okay, it was group interview with one other candidate, the manager, and two employees. I thought it was pretty unprofessional, the manager swore A LOT, and it was pretty awkward. I began to lose interest in this position from the behavior of the manager and the fact that when asked about our previous employers the other candidate brought up how cool her ex boss was because he was "chill" and smoked weed and the manager seemed pleased with that answer. At the end of the interview we were given a tour and met the crew and were told we'd get a call soon. It's been almost a week and still haven't heard anything and I'm pretty glad. I wouldn't recommend applying here.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Call a friend and tell them to describe you in 3 words.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
