I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Seattle, WA) in June 2015
Interview
I applied online on Wednesday and got a call on Sunday. Scheduled an interview for the next day, Monday. I walked in and told the cashier I was there for an interview and he went in to let GM know. When the GM came out, he walked me to a different room next door. He didn't expect me to know about food with integrity or anything, but I brought it up and he then asked me what else I knew about Chipotle. Then, we toured the restaurant. Remember, ASK QUESTIONS and SMILE. MAKE THEM FEEL LIKE YOU WANT TO BE THERE.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
