I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle (Industry, CA) in July 2015
Interview
I applied online and was emailed about 3 days later to come in the store at an appointed date and time for an interview. It was actually a group interview with three other people who applied and the manager and one of the employees were there conducting it. They were overall nice and friendly and asked us to tell them more about ourselves before we got into the actual interview questions. The interview took about an hour since we all took turns answering the questions. They sent an email later on at the same day to determine whether you'll be given a second interview or a rejection email.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
