I applied online. I interviewed at Cisco (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2026
Interview
1) Recruiter Call on the phone 2) Basic python coding interview, let me use AI tools, made me build a vector datastructure class 3) 4-round final loop with a hiring manager call (asked basic behavioral questions but for some reason tried to throw me for a curveball with weird questions too), python interview (pretty normal, another create a datastructure class), ML theory interview and ML algorithms interview (just study the Chris Albon ML flashcards on quizlet and its good)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time where you changed the team culture
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco in Oct 2023
Interview
Applied to several roles through portal, was contacted by recruiter, and set up with coding assessments. Roles all closed simultaneously, had completed a few of the assessments but obviously no feedback on them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
90 minute coding assessment was relatively standard: Data Sci algorithms and ML knowledge.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cisco (Waltham, MA) in June 2018
Interview
Interview process was very casual and accommodating. I was not blind sided with difficult questions and I felt as though the interviewer was relatable and amiable. However, there were several people present during the interview and this made it incredibly nerve racking for me. It became a matter of reading the room and not just my interviewer.
