I was contacted by a recruiter to interview for a financial analyst position. Then I was interviewed by the hiring manager. I felt like the hiring manager was extremely unprofessional. She kept asking me why I want to leave my current job and what’s to keep me from leaving if I was hired here. She didn’t ask any financial or behavioral questions related to the job.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Cisco (Belgrade, Central Serbia)
Interview
First there was a call with the recruiter, then an interview with the team. During the interview, they gave a test task to check SQL knowledge (I had to write code on a whiteboard) — it wasn’t too hard (I’d prepared with ChatGPT, and the interview questions were clearly taken from it as well). I’m not quite sure why I was rejected, since everything seemed to go well.
Very professional and standard.
Intro call from recruiter and then a chat with the hiring manager.
Then you work your way through the phases as usual meeting various members of the department.
Everyone very nice and professional.

Question 1
Are you okay with repetitive tasks on a daily basis?
Straightforward and under 3 rounds, very nice people and common interview. Not too many challenging questions. Situational and a few about previous responsibilities and interest in the role overall . I decided to not accept an offer but experience was great and I would recommend to others
