I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cisco (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2010
Interview
A lot of specific technical questions to see if you know what you are doing from others in the position. Hiring manager more concerned with past experience and other "soft" skills. Most people have good interviewing skills although an I/C asked me for my salary requirements, which I though was inappropriate. (I stated that it was best left at the time I was made a job offer, but everything is negotiable.)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What kind of salary are you looking for? It would have been okay from management, but I got it from an I/C which I really didn't like.
Lot of questions on SCRUM/Agile, willingness to work over time etc.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cisco (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Very good process... in depth and met with several leaders and project team members. Good experience, and the team was reall welcoming. Highly recommend as a place to work and build a career.
Interview with Cisco was nice and human. HR was really good at their job, quite pleasant. All important informations were handed out upfront and I felt like the process will not be too long.
There are about 3 rounds with the last round being 3-4 interviews. I began with a phone screening then moved to next round, with all different. Last round were 3 behavioral with one presentation
