City of Poway interview questions

Process took roughly a month from application to final interview. 1st step - test which consists of about 70 questions ( grammar, critical thinking , word animation, and using another software) test was ok, I felt great about it . If you do well on the test they will email you a few days later to set up a zoom HR panel interview . Questions are tad tricking and long, and HR is trained to have no emotions with your responses which made it hard to read . You’ll get an email a day or two after to schedule an in person which will be another panel with Department staff. The in person was easy, and more personal. However, they do not communicate if they decide to move forward with a different candidate. Which was disappointing. I had hoped they would at least let the other remaining candidates know that they went with someone else. I had to call to find out. Just know if you don’t get a response back the next day it means you did not get the position.

Applied back in August and received an email in mid September that I was selected to take an online test, and the top scores would make it to the Hr panel- online zoom interview, next step is in person with the department heads. I will say, I was extremely disappointed that they DID NOT COMMUNICATE that they have hired another candidate . I had to called to see if they have made a decision, and lo and behold they made their decision the next day after interviews. Not sure why companies completely ignore you instead of thanking you for your dedicated time and effort. Just know if you do not get the job they will not contact you at all.
