I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Clara in Jan 2023
Interview
Overall, I found it to be a fair process with clear steps that were well-communicated. While it did take a bit longer than I had hoped, the end result was definitely worth it. The process began with an initial conversation with an HR representative in early January. After that, I was given a technical test on Java and Spring Boot. Later, I had a conversation about the test, as well as some general questions about Java and software engineering principles such as cryptography, Java types, SOLID principles, and object orientation. I then had a final conversation with the tech manager. All of the interviews were conducted in English, which I found to be a great opportunity to practice my language skills, even though the position is based in Brazil. The entire process took about a month and a half, which was a bit longer than I anticipated. However, the offer letter that I received in mid-February made it clear that the wait was well worth it. I'm now thrilled to have a new job with a great salary and the opportunity to work with people from all over Latin America. Overall, I found the interview process at Clara to be a positive experience. It was thorough, well-organized, and the end result was worth the wait. I would recommend the company to anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding job in tech.
