Approx. 1 year Process with interviews, polygraph, psychological interviews, and meetings with the City Manager and other Supervisory Personnel. Once completed you go to the West Virginia State Police Academy for 16 Weeks. After this, you ride with a Field Training Officer for 12 Weeks, then you are on your own.
